Cockatoos | Cockatoo facts and how to take care of them

Cockatoos stand apart from other parrot species with their exceptional peak quills, undusted feathers, and fluctuating shades of white, pink, dim and dark. Pet cockatoos are frequently mentioned as "velcro" feathered creatures because of their highly sociable nature and marginal over the top should be around the individuals in their lives. Cockatoos extend in size from medium to enormous. the cockatoo can be a fickle as the weather, they'll show a playful attitude but the next second they can harm your hearing or worse, to bite. Cockatoos are not for everyone. Getting a Cockatoo as a first bird is not a good idea nor a pet for a child. The Cockatoo owner should have experience with other birds, there is a tremendous difference between raising a baby Cockatoo or getting a young Cockatoo. If you raise a baby Cockatoo most problems won't occur with it.

A Cockatoo scream is extremely high, they're not your morning good sounding birds even if they are connected to you and respect you, they might harm you if something doesn't feel right to them. they are not a small bird, they have a pretty large beak that could cause very serious damage to yourself and to your furniture as well. This bird needs to be more than four hours with its owners if you think about just leaving him be outside of the cage by himself - think again they will probably chew your house down as vengeance.

Cockatoos get connected to one owner and can become jealous in certain situations. it tends to become spoiled very easily and won't appreciate changes in the routine. their cages need to be a   standardized cage made for Cockatoos they might get depressed and aggressive if it's too small for them they will probably chew and ruin all of the toys you will let them play with. a cheap solution is to give them cartons, and unharmful plastics, such as paper rolls, Pringles carton, plastic water bottles, and such. After all of the "dark" sides of the Cockatoo, you should also know that they are very intelligent some say they are smart as a 5-year-old, they know how to require their exact needs and will make you feel as if they're your human best friend they will like to take part in whatever it is you do and most importantly, just like any other animals, they all have different personalities, some are calm and some are aggressive, however, everything we just talked about is relevant if you do get a Cockatoo, and it seems like it is not so friendly towards you if it bites or scream don't just throw it in the cage for isolation or home decor because it will become depressed and much more aggressive and one more thing if you own any other pets don't expect them to be friends. if they don't get along at first, the cockatoo could seriously harm your other pets so leave an eye open.
